Let It Bleed.

After experiencing the incident. Katelyn felt a little scared about blood. Pain. But I guess, pain just loves following her.

It was a sunny morning. The sun's rays were entering the previously dark room. Katelyn was alone in her room, with her sisters gone to school that is. She stood on top of her bed and tried shouting Rose's name. "ROOOOSE!!!" she called out. Katelyn tried a few more times hoping that maybe Rose would come soon.

Rose never came. Katelyn felt a little hungry. She climbed down the bed and walked down the stairs. One step after the other until she reached the kitchen. She tried opening the refrigerator but she was still small to be able to. She spotted a basket filled with unripe mangoes. She remembered seeing Rose cut them into pieces and serve them during some meals.

She took a small plastic stool and placed it against the wall. She climbed on top of the stool and reached out for one mango. She got down the stool and searched for the knife. She found one and took it. She went back to the stool and the mango.

She placed the knife on top of the mango and was about to cut it into half. She placed the knife deeper and the mango suddenly slipped. Next thing she knew, her fragile little hand had a cut. It was bleeding. The cut was too deep. She dropped the knife on the stainless kitchen sink just beside her.

She started crying harder, screaming for help. She walked upto the living room. The blood was dripping at the floor. It made a big mess. It didn't stop bleeding. The pain became more unbearable for Katelyn. She cried harder as the time passed.

Rose just entered the door with a smile on her face. She looked at Katelyn and was shocked with how much blood there was on the floor. She started panicing. She immediately carried Katelyn into her arms and ran up the stairs. She checked for any available aid. Opened the drawers one at a time. Rushing. While Katelyn's bruise continued bleeding.

Rose ran downstairs and up again. She knelt down and looked at Katelyn's eyes. "Katelyn, I'll just buy some bandage ok? Stay here. Promise me you'll stay and be a good girl. I'll be back as soon as I can." Rose told her, assured her everything would be fine. She said this fast. Then quickly ran down the stairs. Katelyn just heard the door slam.

She started to calm herself and waited. Looking at the blood. She sat at the corner of the room. Her back resting against the wall. Waiting. Tick tock tick tock. Then Rose came holding a lot of bandages, cottons, and more in her hands. She carried Katelyn and sat her down the bed. She looked at the bruise and cleaned it.

Katelyn winced at every touch of the cotton. Rose then placed the bandage on her finger. Katelyn stopped crying, but she was still gasping for air. It became hard for her to breathe with all the crying.

Rose took a glass of water and asked Katelyn to drink. After a while, Katelyn went back to her usual self. She sat down at the living room couch and watched television.

The sun has set when her sisters arrived from school. "Hey Katelyn" Greeted Kalley greeted her with a smile. It didn't take long until she saw the bandage on her little sister's finger. "Oh. What happened?" she asked. "Ma'am Kalley. Your sister tried cutting the mango into pieces for her to eat but the knife slipped." Rose explained.

Kalley sat dow beside Katelyn and faced her. "Are you okay, baby?" she asked. They usually call her that since she is the youngest among the three siblings. Katelyn nodded he head and looked up at her sister, then showed a big grin.
