Grade 6.

Katelyn, an eleven year old girl. Living with her sister Kaye. Her parents in Australia. Recently joined by her sister Kalley. Now she's actually in her last year of elementary. Together with her old classmates. Maybe with new ones too.

Katelyn woke up. The sky was still dark. Around 5am. She took a bath and wore her uniform. Her school bus fetch her.

As she walked the school grounds holding her things. Still had a little hang over from the summer vacation. She came to her classroom. At the uppermost floor of their building together with Halley.

Some students were there. Seated. "Just find the one with your name." Someone said. Katelyn looked for hers. She roamed around the classroom and finally saw her chair. At the 3rd group from the door, 3rd row. She dropped her things and tried sitting down. She looked at her left and checked the name posted at the empty seat. "Benny"

"Oh no. This can't be" Katelyn murmured. Benny, the little, annoying, bugs bunny she met in grade four. Katelyn got irritated. How could Benny Stowe become her classmate? Even worse, her seatmate.

Katelyn complained to Halley. Until, well, Benny actually entered the room and found his chair. Had the same reaction with the irritated look. He walked like he was dragging his feet.

Nothing much changed with Benny except the braces. But Katelyn hoped his attitude changed.

Sarah A. on the other hand is in a different section now.

The first quarter passed. Benny actually, well, became Katelyn's best friend. Who would've thought? The two people who hated each other would actually be Best Friends.

Well. With Evan Davidson. He's well, the past. Maybe Summer does change everything. Too much of everything.
