Bequeathal.
It was almost dark when Katelyn left her house. She came to school for this night's event wearing a simple gray jacket, skinny jeans and flats.
She arrived at the school holding her ticket.
She joined the long line bringing some memories on how the past bequeathal sucked.
She saw the grade five students wearing semi-formal clothes. Like the girls were wearing dresses. Louie, a grade 5 student approached her, they talked for a while.
Katelyn went to Halley. This year would be a nice one. She hoped. Not only for her but for her friends as well. For Cassidy, she would be with Matt. At last, his work finally paid off. After waiting for so long, she finally became his girlfriend.
For Benny, at least he has the guts to ask Halley.
The students were asked to form their lines by sections. Katelyn started getting worried. Mason still wasn't around. What if he doesn't show up? What if he uses this chance as revenge for what Katelyn did last bequeathal?
She asked Halley, if she saw him. But Halley said no. The different colors of light made Katelyn feel a little dizzy.
The opening ceremony ended. Then he came. Wearing a black jacket. His friends took him away and made him fix his hair. The way it was when he had his graduation picture taken.
He came to her. They walked, talked and saw different couples. Like their friends Margie Herring and Oliver Johnson. Margie finally had her chance with Oliver. She liked him ever since grade 2. And now, they were finally together. Unfortunately, they would be seperated for High School. Maybe some Long Distance Relationship would work?
Katelyn and Mason went to get some food. After eating, they went outside the classroom.
It was the first slow dance.
Katelyn and Mason danced. Not only one song but all the songs. Iris, Only Reminds Me of You, I'll be, and more. Then he was fetched. Katelyn said goodbye.
Then she danced with Tricia. They were getting close again. They danced Sway. Beside them, were Cassidy and Karen Smith danced as well.
Mason, actually came back. Like he didn't want to leave. Katelyn felt the same. Not wanting the night to end. Like it was a very problem- free night. But everything has its end. Even a beautiful night. Nothing lasts forever. Forever is a lie. Everything is transitory.
